Are You New To Home Exchange?

Lots of questions arise when you are starting in home exchange. But we in Intervac are all here to help!
Here are a couple of questions from our members that you might find useful. And make sure you also check our guide.

What would you say are the most important things I can do to make my listing attractive to other members?

Be sure to add lots of photos of your home and your neighborhood. Members that do have photos have an increased chance of getting the home exchange they want as they look more trustworthy to others.

Also, add photos of yourself and your pets. You can mark these to be visible to members only if you are uncomfortable with the idea that visitors to the Intervac site could see them.

Finally, it’s very important to keep your exchange dates and your destinations wishlist up-to-date so that our search engine can work to help you find the perfect exchange partner.

Member Question. Our exchange from last summer doesn’t show on our page. It was our first exchange and we would like to be sure our listing is complete.

If this should happen to you, the best thing to do is to contact your local representative. They can change this for you and will pass the general problem along to our development team for checking.

As always, we appreciate the time you take to let us know when something doesn’t work as you expect it will. Your feedback helps us to improve our online system every day.

Member Question. Is there an easy way to know if I already contacted a member about an exchange in the past?

Improved search returns make it easy to see if you already contacted a member about an exchange.

Yes, you can see that directly on the search returns.

Any time you see a listing with a green checkmark beside it, you know you have already been in contact with that member.

The green checkmark is your clue…
